We were off the dock at 5:50 am with fare wells from our neighbor, Urv. We would have three other boats traveling with us, Brunelle, Pekabu, Sevilla and we were anxious to meet up with them. We had an uneventful ride down to Solomon’s Island to meet up with our “Going South” group. As we were arriving and going up Back Creek at Solomon’s, we saw Kathy from Pekabu welcoming us by waving from her bow at the end of a “T” dock at one of the marinas. She and Pete were waiting for UPS to deliver a part they had ordered for their boat. We then gassed up and went on to find our dock at Walkabout's (another sailing friend's boat) marina. We were greeted by Brunelle and Sevilla and were invited to lunch aboard Sevilla. Since the weather report sounded iffy for Wednesday, we decided to meet aboard Andiamo to have dinner and plan our next day. After hearing all the different weather reports, we decided to stay put for another day. We all had little projects to do on our individual boats to get ready for our adventure.
