Today, we all decided to stay an extra day and night at Georgetown. It gave us the opportunity to look into our running light issue and to clean the salt off the boat from the ocean voyage.

With Dan from Brunelle and our electrician back in Annapolis, John figured out that one of our bow lights had burned up and created the short in the system. We have LEDs and this should not have happened. The manufacturer was kind enough to FedEx us the part, still under warranty, directly to our next marina in Charleston. We hoped it would be waiting for us when we arrived! Current in Georgetown
The women, in the meantime, took a five block walk into the center of town. Georgetown is the third oldest city in SC and the old homes were extremely picturesque. As we were walking down the main street window shopping, we noticed people gathering on the sidewalk. A Veterans Day parade was on its way. We saw a lot of school units participating, veterans floats, and of course, there are always the boy scouts! It was quite a treat - Southern style.

We made dinner reservations at the Lands End Restaurant near our marina to finish off the evening. We decided on a 6:45 leave time the following morning to make it through a 4pm bridge opening. That would be our only option to try to get to Charleston before night fall.
