November 16, 2010 Hilton Head SC to Savannah GA

We pulled our anchor at 6:30am to start our half day journey to Savannah but not without taking a photo of the Hilton Head Lighthouse.  We left early so we could get to Thunderbolt (outside of Savannah) in time for lunch and before the possible thundershowers coming our way.  It would also give us more time to explore.  We were planning on staying for two nights and then leave for our next destination of St. Augustine in Florida.

A Little Shallow?   It's an ICW marker and should have 12 feet of water around it.  Brunelle navigated the corner safely.

We arrived at 11:30am to 75 degrees and the dock hands wearing shorts! We did laundry and John worked on boat maintenance jobs. We had five o’clock cocktails up on the marina's huge screened sun porch overlooking the river.
