April 22, 2011 Charleston, SC

We took the 10 am shuttle into town from the marina.  We asked the driver to leave us off at the well known market in town.  It was several blocks long with a variety of vendors selling their goods.  It was one of the better markets that we had seen on our journey. We found a great kitchen store and asked the cashier for a lunch recommendation.  She told us her favorite place was right next store, The Slightly North of Broad, and that we should get reservations.  So next door we went!  They gave us a time of 11:45.  We walked down a few blocks to see the charming architecture of Charleston but the rains came so we dodged the drops by going from building to building.  We went into the restaurant to sit and wait for our seating.  We had a fabulous lunch and we were thrilled to have had reservations.  The line was so long that it went outside the restaurant by the time we had finished.
