The weather looked iffy and we could see the front so we left at 7am to head across the Tongue of the Ocean (very deep water) to the 42 miles south to Nassau. As we were leaving the cut where we had the mooring ball the previous night, we could see two water spouts on the front way out away from us.
Other than a few flying fish and two to three foot waves throughout the six hour trip, our adventure down to Nassau was, thankfully, uneventful. We did not pick up any of the high winds or showers that we could see out in the distance.
Nassau Lighthouse showed us the way into the Harbour
We approached Nassau Harbour and the procedure was to call the Harbour Patrol to ask permission to enter. We were granted permission at 1:53pm. We then proceeded into the harbour where three cruise ships were docked. The Atlantis Hotel and Resort, which could be seen for miles off the coast, was on Paradise Island on our left. We docked at the Nassau Harbour Club Marina at two pm and we needed to wait for Customs and Immigration to come and clear us. We could not get off the boat until that happened.

Large cruise ships in the harbor. Andiamo was a peanut next to them.
Customs had come about an hour after we arrived and John and I, along with Andiamo, were cleared to stay in the Bahamas for 90 days if we wished.
We tried to get connected to the Internet but the help person for the company we had chosen had already left for the day. We took a walk up to a nearby Starbucks but the entire store was not connected while we were there. We were hoping the issue would be resolved by the next day.
