January 29, 2011 Key Largo

Brunelle and Andiamo enjoyed breakfast, supplied by the marina, on the veranda.  Dan decided to get out his scuba gear to check the zinc attachments under his boat.   Those on Brunelle needed to be changed and, afterward, he swam over to Andiamo to check ours.  We were good in that department and the only negative he had encountered on the bottom of our boat was a small fish hiding (from the Pelicans) in our bow thruster.  Thanks, Dan, as we could then check one more item off the "to do" list for the Bahamas.  Brunelle had enough foresight to have brought a pair of folding bicycles with them and they had gotten them out of their storage area and prepared them for use.  Martha and I took a ride along route 1 for a two mile ride to a Publix supermarket.  We were always in need of something.  I had not ridden a bike for a few years but the bike/walking path next to route 1 was a life saver - namely, mine!  We were limited on our purchases as to what we could carry on the bike but we accomplished our goal.  In the meantime, Chef John was preparing our festive dinner back on Andiamo.  We had lobster tails left from our B&B seafood stop over on the ICW. Baked potatoes, string beans and a salad rounded out the meal but the wine and dessert were the toppers!   It had been another fantastic dinner on our adventure!
