Valentine’s Day in Key Largo. Who would have ever thought that we would still be in Key Largo at this point in our adventure but we would rather be in a cozy marina than in the five foot plus waves out in the ocean.
Dan was not feeling well and he slept most of the day. Pekabu, along with John and me, decided to go to a restaurant for dinner. Martha and I found The Pilot House the other day while biking so the four of us thought we would walk the mile to enjoy a nice Valentine Day dinner. Key Largo seemed to be a very animal friendly town and there was a note on the table at the restaurant saying that if your animal starts barking or misbehaving, you may be asked to move to another part of the restaurant. During dinner, we had a kitten under our table and a crane was sitting so still on the wooden ledge that I was surprised to find that it was real. The bar area in the restaurant had a glass floor under the chairs for patrons to view the fish and coral. We enjoyed walking back to our boats to walk off the extra calories we had consumed.
